205 S Elm was constructed just after the Civil War for dry goods merchant, banker and farmer Lucian Clay Dallam and Elizabeth Soaper Dallam. It remained in Dallam family until at least late 1910’s (1915); Aarom Waller, president of A. Waller & Co, grain dealers, listed here 1927.
