The J. Hawkins Hart House, located at 630 Center Street in Henderson, Kentucky, is a two-and-a-half-story Queen Anne–style residence built in 1892. Believed to have been designed by noted mail-order architect George F. Barber, the home features hallmark Victorian details such as a conical corner pavilion, decorative fish-scale shingles, ornate wooden finials, and an inset balcony with lattice-like beaded screening. Built for J. Hawkins Hart, a local judge and businessman, the house has remained a single-family dwelling and is one of Henderson’s most elaborate wooden Queen Anne homes, reflecting both the prosperity of the period and Hart’s rising civic stature.
