Buckner S. Morris was born 18 Feb 1865 to Philip Buckner Morris and Nancy Fishback. B. S. Morris married Edna Earl Agnew (1870 – 1939).

B. S. Morris was a practicing attorney in the city of Henderson, at one time partnered with John Hawkins Hart.

B. S. Morris died 27 Oct 1941 (aged 76).

B. S. Morris was born in Bracken county, Ky., and reared in that county and Pendleton county. He was educated in the county schools and later attended the State College at Lexington — now Kentucky University. He read law at the Cincinnati (Ohio) Law School, and was admitted to the bar in 1896. He held the position of county superintendent of schools of Pendleton county for eight years. In 1899 he came to Henderson and has practiced his profession here since, and for two years of that time he held the position of city clerk.
