During the 1950s and 1960s, a Phillips 66 service station stood along U.S. Highway 41 North in Henderson, Kentucky, just across from Audubon State Park. The station featured the clean, modern lines of the era, with a flat-roofed building, wide service bays, and rows of gas pumps sheltered by canopies. The familiar Phillips 66 shield sign rose high above the roadway, guiding travelers to fuel and service on one of the region’s busiest north-south highways.

In addition to gasoline, the station offered full mechanical service, reflecting a time when service stations were as much about repairs and roadside assistance as they were about filling up.

Though the original Phillips 66 building no longer stands, the site remains in use as a fueling stop. Today, a modern Thorntons occupies the location, continuing the tradition of serving travelers along Highway 41.
