Carl Philip Geibel was born 1 Jan 1883 to Fred P Geibel and Caroline Best.

Carl Geibel married Grace D. Hanouer on Tuesday, 14 June 1910 in St. Joseph, Indiana.

They built a house and lived at 33 South Alves Street before moving in 1919 to a home on the corner of Powell and Green streets, 339 Powell, previously owned by Governor A. O. Stanley. This residence was later a tourist home operated by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Paff.

Carl Geibel was a successful real estate agent in Henderson for several years.

In 1924, the Geibel’s moved and according to the 1930 census were living in Mesilla Park, Dona Ana, New Mexico.

Carl P Geibel died 6 Sep 1930 in New Mexico and was buried in South Bend, Indiana.

Word has been received by relatives here of tie death of Carl Philip Geibel, of Henderson, Ky., which occurred recently in Las Crucis, N. M. He is survived by his widow, who before their marriage was Miss Grace D. Hanauer of South Bend, and a son, Frederick P. Geibel. Mrs. Getbel was well known in this city.
