The NE corner of Center & Green Streets (2 N Green) has been many things over the years.
George G. Ellis had a grocery store there at the turn of the century. After that it was Stewart Plumbing & Heating. Later they cut out part of the lower floor & it was a Gulf Station. Later in the 1960’s it became Ken’s Korner Restaurant until it caught fire.
After that building was demolished a Taco Bell was built there. It later became Cash & Loans.
From 2017 to 2019, both the old Taco Bell building and the old Trinity AME Zion Church on Center Street were demolished and a new German American Bank branch was built.
