The home here originally was the William McClain house and was later sold to the old Daniel Boone Insurance company. Following the insurance firm’s occupation it had remained vacant for some time. The home suffered significant damage during excavating work for a new basement in 1939. A new home, which still stands today, was built in 1942 for Giltner Igleheart.
