Located in downtown Henderson, Kentucky, 23 North Green Street once housed a variety of small businesses that reflected the city’s evolving commercial life. Over the decades it was home to John Huhlein’s plumbing business (1923), the Henderson Produce Company (1935), Golday’s Insulation Service (1945), Margaret’s Beauty Shop (1950), and later the Martin Studio and Wanda’s Hair & Tanning Salon. The two-story brick building—with its storefront below and upstairs access via an exterior staircase—stood as a modest landmark of local enterprise for much of the 20th century. The structure has since been demolished, and the site is now an empty lot.
