Over the years, it operated under a variety of names, including Norris & Norment; Norris & Lockett; Norris Locket & White; Norris Hardware and Seed; and, since its affiliation with the Ace Hardware co-op, Norris Ace Home Center.
After operating during the late 19th and early 20th centuries at a pair of locations in the 200 block of First Street, the business moved around the corner in 1906 to the three-story brick building at 120 N. Elm St.
Norris Hardware opened its second location, in Old Orchard, in March 1976.
