Stuart Albert Brabant was born 7 Dec 1902 to John Michael Brabandt (1878 – 1951) and Caroline A. “Carrie” Scherer Brabandt (1879 – 1965).
Stuart Brabant married Lana Martine Coates (1902 – 1994) in June 1927.
Mr. Braband was graduate of the University of Kentucky, and did postgraduate work in farm management and extension methods at Colorado A&M. Mr. Brabant’s main work was in farm management and farm organization, including livestock and crop enterprises. He assisted in organizing the Fired Tobacco Cooperative, Pennyrile REA and other cooperatives.
He was co-author of “Curing Fired Tobacco” while he worked as County Agent in Todd County, Kentucky.
In November 1953, Stuart moved to Henderson County where he was the County Agricultural Agent. He and his wife Lana lived at 918 N Main.
Stuart Brabant died on 9 Nov 1984 (aged 81) and was buried in Fernwood Cemetery / Section 3 / Lot 2660 /
Grave 7.
