Susan A (Hicks) Johnson was born on 8 Jan 1879 to Arch Hicks and Julia (Edwards) Hicks (1846-1922). She married James B Johnson.
Susan was living at 603 Center Street in 1940 and working as the manager of the cafeteria at Barrett Manual Training High School.
Obituary:
Mrs. Susan Johnson, widow of James B. Johnson, one-time mayor of Henderson, who is remembered by many Owensboro Senior high school athletes as the one who prepared warm meals for them when they came to Henderson for sports events, died at 5:15 p.m. today, of a heart attack.
She operated the cafeteria at the Henderson high school. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p. m. Monday at the Moss Funeral home, the Rev. Brown B. Smith, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in Fernwood cemetery.
