Anyone know anything about Chick-In Drive-Inn?
Chic-In Drive-Inn
“Chat and Eat Where Good Friends Meet.” This started as a slogan for the Chick-In Drive Inn, the popular eating place at Sixth and Green streets, but it has turned into a reality as crowds gather there each day in the week and on Sunday too to get good things to eat and meet their friends, and this is what draws them: Chicken and Steak Dinners, daily luncheons and delicious sandwiches.
The Chick-In Drive-Inn is open from 7 am. until 12 midnight daily, except Sunday and they are open on Sundays from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.
The Chick-In Drive-Inn is owned and operated by Mr. and Mrs. Willingham, who have had years of experience in the restaurant business. They supervise the operation of the restaurant at all times and one or the other is on duty to see that the, foods are prepared properly to satisfy the taste of the patrons of this res-taurant. Everything is clean and sanitary. It’s a fine place to bring your best friends and your family at anytime day or night. Whether it’s a light lunch or a regular meal, you will enjoy the food and the service.
You are not bothered with parking difficulties at the Chick-In Drive-Inn. It is a Drive-In Restaurant and there is plenty of room at all times. This is a convenience now, and will be even more so in the near future when parking meters are installed in Henderson.
The next time you eat out, try the Chick-In Drive-Inn for good food, courteous service and reasonable prices. You will find everything that it takes to make your dining out a pleasure when you eat at this popular restaurant. The homelike atmosphere and the good home cooking will make you enjoy the meal.
I located Clyde and Martha Willingham on the 1950 Census as operating a restaurant.
