“Samuel C. Lambert and Jesse Craig should lead clean lives — for all they do is clean, clean, clean — save when they press and repair! This energetic and well known firm of pressers, cleaners dyers has grown from a small beginning with two flat irons to a shop with five pressing machines, a complete and up to date cleaning plant, a shoe repair shop and shining parlor – all in seven years time!
The two partners are local boys and have built up their large business largely by working everlastingly at it and giving good service. It is said they haven’t broken a promise yet. They promise to give you one day service, and eight hours to cleat and press a suit should satisfy the most exacting.
Lambert & Craig employ fourteen people in order that they may take care of the business and give rapid service. They are specialists in ladies’ work, and capable of rendering any type service that may be required in this line. They keep two women busy in the altering and repairing department, giving efficient and rapid service in that line also.
Just recently they have installed one of the latest type pressers to be found in any pressing establishment. It is of the “hot head” type, and allows them to take care of any kind of pressing necessary to women’s clothing-from pleats to ruffles.”

Lambert & Craig was located at 133-135 N Main in the 1920’s.
