Cedar bar was located at 317 First Street. Opened on 5 July 1940 by Carmen Littlepage.

Carmen Littlepage, who was one of the genial bartenders around the American Legion for a long time, has opened his own place of business down on First street, between Elm and Green and ’tis called the “Cedar Bar.” The entire front and back bar is made of cedar and finished in the natural wood. One of the best looking bars we have ever seen and incidentally it was made in Henderson. Carmen bought the lumber “down in Tennessee” in the rough and had it finished and the bar built here. Certainly has a beautiful place and his bar should prove to be one of the most popular in Henderson.
