Colonel Jim’s Restaurant was located at 1739 S Green street, owned and operated by Colonel James “Jim” Mortensen. Home of famous Colonel Jim’s spicy fried chicken, still available at Mr. D’s restaurant just up the street. The large plaster chicken that once stood in front of the store now sits at Mr. D’s.
This building later was Cerro de la Silla Mexican Restaurant which became Los Toribio. It is currently Oasis Pool Store.
