William Withers Huston (1825-1890)
Harbor and Wharf Master 1865 and 1866
The many friends of Capt. W. W. Huston in this city will be grieved to know that he died of pneumonia at his residence in Henderson, KY., last saturday. In the ante bellum days of steambosting “Billy” Huston was one of the best and most popular steamboat clerks on the river, and spent the greater part of his life on the packets in the Louisville and Henderson trade.
